APIS, the Egyptian holy bull, is being honoured. Apis is supposed to be an incarnation of the god PTHAH. On his head he wears, as a symbol of being a god, the sundisc of RA and the King cobra. RA’s falcon wings are spread out above him as his protection. Below him is written: “sworn on Apis. He who will come for sure and brings love and peace with him; they become love.” ‘He’ and ‘they’ refer to “Mohabbat” and “Pyar & Mohabbat” |

Under that is a bee and a ibis: they symbolize Thoth, the wise councilor of the gods and the judge of the death. Under that is written, sworn by the symbolized gods: “Every 1000 years they will come back. We (have) seen them; (she) is (an) unbelievably (beautiful) princess”. |

GEB, the Egyptian earth god, was the husband of NUT and the oldest son of SHU and Tefnut, the gods of earth and water. It’s said that SHU (also known as RA) has broken a passionate relationship between Gen and Nut apart. After that, Geb has become (or send to) the earth and NUT the sky (or the heaven). The story of Pyar & Mohabbat is sometimes told slightly in a different way (specially in Egypt). It’s said that Geb & Nut are actually Pyar & Mohabbat, and that SHU is the god (or the demon) who doesn’t want them to be together. Some Egyptians say that every 1000 years Pyar & Mohabbat (Geb & Nut) are allowed to take their human form. But most of the scholars believe that the Egyptians love for Pyar & Mohabbat have made them speak about Pyar & Mohabbat as gods. (note: Egypt was once also a part of the Persian Empire.) |
